Awards and Honors

Since 1958, Educational Communications (“EC”) has been fortunate to have received honorary recognition by a number of establishments. ECONEWS, one of theoOrganization’s core projects has been nominated three times for EMMY Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Both Educational Communications and Executive Director Nancy Pearlman were recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme as Global 500 Laureates.

Furthermore, The Organization’s film, “Interregnum (Between the Wars)” was nominated by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for an Oscar Award, and it won the Grand Prize in the Venice International Film Festival in 1963.
